About

Amelia Sherman (nee Bowe) is a Commercial Creative and Strategist based in Sydney, currently flexing her strategic muscles as Group Strategy Manager at Mamamia, Australia's largest independent women's media group and the biggest women’s podcast network in the world. Every day, she helps make the world a better place for women and girls, one brief, brainstorm and brilliant idea at a time.

Before joining Mamamia, Amelia was busy baking brands into mass consciousness as Group Campaign Manager at NOVA Entertainment, where she helped shape ACRA award-winning brand integrations for the likes of Google, and brought to life campaigns for Airbnb, Hello Fresh, Kayo, Menulog, McDonald's, Qantas, Amazon, The Iconic, Netflix, Paramount+, Hahn, Cadbury, Petbarn, Woolworths, and even the Australian Federal Government. It's here she was named an AdNews Emerging Leader Finalist in 2025.

In 2024, Amelia was named a B&T Women in Media Finalist for Strategy and helped craft Menulog’s 3.0 campaign, which was recognised as a finalist at the ACRAs for Most Creative Sales Solution.

Her creative passport also includes stints at Medium Rare Content Agency, where she contributed to iconic titles like JONES (David Jones) and You (Priceline); Refinery29 and Vice Media in London, where she led the creative for the Dove x Refinery29 18-month global partnership spanning 15 publishers and four countries; and Hyland Communications Agency (now Havas Media), where she was the Content Strategist and Creative for COTY Australia, earning a spot as a B&T 30 Under 30 Creative Finalist.

She originally cut her teeth in journalism at Cosmopolitan Australia, writing about beauty, body love, travel, and pop culture — and once did Vance Joy’s hair and makeup for a shoot (yes, really).

Outside of work, Amelia can be found thrifting her way through vintage stores, hopping on planes in search of new perspectives, or championing women’s sport as the co-founder of Change The Channel, a UK-based initiative that called for more venues to screen women’s football games, earning coverage from major outlets and sparking a movement. She also loves working on creative side projects, like creating an About video for Studio A, supporting artists with intellectual disabilities.
